Building a user first mindset in a tech first product org at Workday
I worked in Workday from 2019 to 2021. At the time I led a small team of designers and researchers. I was faced with low ratios of UX to devs, in a complex space within Workday. This is a casestudy of a method I leveraged, an ‘Improvathon’ (a weekly long design session for the entire eng and product org in the product pillar). The goal of which was to connect the developers to the end user, to empower them to take a user focused approach when developing without UXers.
