SpeakProduct

Practice reps for how you say it, not just what you know.

Pick the role you're interviewing for and who's across the table — screener, CPO, CTO, UX manager — and SpeakProduct generates real questions for that seat. Answer by voice, on the go. It scores your answer against a rubric built for how people at that level actually evaluate communication — structure and delivery, not just content — then gives you targeted drills for wherever you're scoring lowest.

QUICK FACTS

  • Role — Solo. Design, build, ship.

  • Stack — Voice input, LLM-based rubric scoring

  • Status — Live. V1 shipped.

  • Focus — Delivery and structure, not just content.

THE SHIFT

Before it feels like: you know the answer, but it comes out unstructured, every detail included, no clear point, sounds junior even when the thinking isn't.

After: a structured answer scored against what your interviewer level is actually listening for, plus the one change that would move your score most.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Choose the seat — set the role and who's interviewing you, from screener to CPO.

  • Get real questions — generated for that specific seat, not generic prep.

  • Answer by voice — quick reps, no typing.

  • Get scored — against a rubric for structure and delivery.

  • Drill your gaps — targeted practice on exactly what's weak.

WHY I BUILT IT

Experience doesn't always win the room, delivery does. Someone who can talk the talk gets hired over someone more qualified who can't perform it in the moment. It's sharpest in design interviews: designers often have the thinking but not the "executive speak" that gets them heard at that level.

SpeakProduct closes that gap — not by teaching people what to think, but how to say what they already know.

THE HONEST TENSION

This doesn't fix the bias — it helps you win inside it. Interviews reward performance as much as substance, and SpeakProduct trains you to perform better within that system rather than change it. I still think it's worth building, while the system rewards delivery, the fastest way to help someone is to help them deliver, but it's a trade-off I'm not pretending away.

WHAT’S NEXT

V1 is interview-specific.

Next is a version for the rest of the job: everyday meetings, not just the interview room.Z
