Designing the Recognition profile for Workhuman

From 2010-2014 I was the UX design team lead for Workhuman (at the time called Globoforce). My role was to introduce UX to Workhuman product development team, by growing a UX team and introducing design thinking methods Workhumans Recognition App allows employees of the same enterprise to recognize each others performance in the form of monetary awards.  

The project brief was to create a ‘profile’ section to the app that displayed all employees' great moments of recognition, while instilling and promoting the company's values.


THE PROJECT RESULTS

I designed a tabbed profile section:

That displayed their recognition activity in order of recency, giving attention to the comments and congrats they received from colleagues on that award.

That highlighted their values in a circle graph. This diagram became key in aligning employees with the businesses key values.

That displayed the employee’s connection graph; who they were connected to and the strength of their connection.   We found that it was the relationships that employees had with others that strongly influenced their sense of belonging to that company. By pulling it out into its own graph, it brought people more visibility to the relationships they have built while working there.
