Designing eCommerce collections for a more bespoke shopping experience
From 2010-2014 I was the UX design team lead for Workhuman (at the time called Globoforce). My role was to introduce UX to Workhuman product development team, by growing a UX team and introducing design thinking methods.
Globoforce’s Recognition software provides an eCommerce solution to allow users to redeem the monetary awards they receive. We wanted to further develop this solution to create a more emotive experience for the user and to increase user engagement as well as to highlight featured products.
THE PROJECT RESULTS
The solution was to develop a ‘collection’ offering that provided a mechanism of featuring selected products under a similar theme but also to provide users with additional information on that theme.
The challenge was to design one collection template that would work for all collections, electronics to holidays, from headphones to giftcards, promoting brands from Apple to Borsch.
