Converting card recipients to registered app users

In 2015 I was working a head of UX for a startup called Clever Cards. CleverCards developed an app that allows customers to send eCards to their loved ones.  I was tasked with converting more eCard recipients to registered CleverCard users. At the time 0.27% of people who saw / received an eCard became a registered user.


THE PROJECT RESULTS

We ran 5 tests sequentially over a period of 2 months.

The winner was Test 3.2 which resulted in 299% increase in CTR, 1.78% of people who saw the card becoming registered app users, which was a 559% increase in registered users.
